Metta is a landmark in the history of Sri Lankan Ayurvedic tradition. The founder of this company is Venerable Dr. Metta who was born in a beautiful village near Tangalle in the southern province of Sri Lanka. He completed his primary education at Sri Dharmarama School. Then he entered the monk-hood when he was eleven years old. After that, he entered a monastery at Rathmalana for his secondary education. There he started his journey of exploring, studying, and discovering ancient subjects such as Sanskrit culture, archaeology, and astrology science.

Then he studied for his advanced-level exam at the Subadrarama monastery for two years. Then he decided to enrol in the Sri Lanka Waidya Maha Mandala Ayurvedic medical college. Having completed his exam he became a registered Ayurvedic physician in Sri Lanka. Whilst in medical college he had been doing many experiments about various types of herbal medicines and had done thousands of trial and error methods to invent authentic Sri Lanka traditional medicines. After having the great success he started manufacturing traditional Ayurvedic medicinal products with the latest technology. With time he did various types of inventions which are highly embraced by the busy community in the locality and throughout the world because those products were highly designed and manufactured to use under the busy and hectic schedule of people.

With the blessings of thousands of people, The Metta Ayurveda company was launched. As a physician, he had done many clinical experiments and he has been treating thousands of patients irrespective of age through his vast experience.
